How to delete your account
Option 1 — From this website
Sign in to your account and use the “Delete account” button. This works whether or not the app is installed on a device.
You will be asked to sign in with the same provider you originally used (Google or Apple), then to type DELETE to confirm. The action takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
Option 2 — From inside the app
Open Liftplanr, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, and confirm. The same backend deletion runs in both places.
Option 3 — By email
If you cannot sign in (for example, you have lost access to the email address used to register), email support@liftplanr.app from any address you can prove control of, including the email used for the account or — if you signed in with Apple Private Relay — the relay address shown on your receipts. We will verify ownership and delete the account on your behalf within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you confirm deletion, we permanently remove the following from our systems:
- Your Firebase Authentication account (email, sign-in provider link, profile name)
- All workout programs you generated or customized
- All logged sessions, sets, reps, weights, and rest-timer history
- All personal records (PRs)
- All equipment profiles, exercise preferences, and app settings
- Cached AI prompt/response data tied to your account
- Any active subscription locks held under your user ID
What is retained, and for how long
To comply with legal and operational requirements, a small amount of information is retained after deletion:
- Deletion tombstone — a record containing only your former user ID, an
isDeletedflag, and the deletion timestamp. This is kept indefinitely so that the same user ID cannot be silently re-activated by a third party and so that payment-provider webhooks (App Store, RevenueCat) referencing your former subscription can be safely ignored. It contains no personal data. - Encrypted infrastructure backups — Google Cloud Firestore retains encrypted point-in-time backups for up to 30 days, after which your data is purged from backups as well.
- Anonymized analytics — aggregate, non-identifying usage counters (e.g., total sessions logged across all users) are retained. These cannot be linked back to you.
- Billing records — invoices and tax records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat are subject to their own retention policies and Finnish accounting law (typically 6 years). Liftplanr does not store payment-card data at any point.
Effect on your subscription
Deleting your Liftplanr account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription — those are managed by Apple or Google. Cancel the subscription separately in the App Store / Play Store account settings before deleting if you want billing to stop.
Export your data first
Deletion is permanent. If you would like a copy of your data first, sign in to your account and use Export my data to download a JSON archive of all your programs, sessions, and PRs.
